SERVICE PROJECTS
This term provided an opportunity for students to serve our community in various ways. Each class selected a meaningful service project to participate in, inspired by the school theme: "STEP OUT" — sharing Jesus with others.
The Prep class chose to create encouraging cards for children at the local hospital. Students cut, coloured, and wrote personal messages on the cards to uplift the children in the hospital ward.
The Year 2/3 class visited a local aged care home to sing to the residents. They also gave out handmade bookmarks and cards featuring Bible verses. Students had the chance to engage with both the residents and staff before leaving.
Meanwhile, our Year 5/6 students participated in a car wash, washing the cars of Joy Club members during their meeting. They rinsed, washed, and dried a variety of cars, showcasing their hard work.
Well done to all the classes that participated in this community service initiative, shining their light within the Brassall community and stepping out to serve others!
