BOOK WEEK (14TH-20TH AUGUST 2024)

Book Fair:

The Scholastic Book Fair provides students with a chance to dive into a literary world for an entire week. During this event, students can browse and read a variety of books, as well as participate in activities, games, and competitions. This creates a positive experience that encourages reading.

The benefits of reading include improved fluency, better comprehension, and greater enjoyment.

Thank you to the students and families for the support at Book Fair as commission is earned from all sales allowing funds to purchase new resources for the school Library.

Dress Up Day:

Congratulations to all our students who participated in the costume parade bringing favourite book characters to life during our Book Week celebration.

Thank you to the parents and families for joining us this morning, with special thanks to our judges: IAS Principal Mrs. Lieder and Pr. Greg Campling from Ipswich Adventist Church.

Grandparents Day:

We would like to give special thanks to our wonderful grandparents and all those who take on a grandparent's role for their love and support in attending our Grandparent Day celebration.

The role of grandparents can offer numerous benefits to grandchildren. Grandparents provide unconditional love and support helping grandchildren feel secure. Spending time with grandparents can help provide a sense of belonging and offer a different viewpoint in grandchildren.

The best part is engaging in fun activities together which leads to positive lasting memories and creates strong family bonds.

Overall, the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren can be deeply enriching and beneficial for both parties.
