ANZAC DAY DAWN SERVICE (25TH APRIL 2024)

Ipswich Adventist School and Ipswich Adventist Church joined together to organise a Dawn Service on Anzac Day.

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand. It honours those who served and died in various wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. It also pays tribute to the contribution and suffering of all who serve in the defence force.

Many attended to pay their respects to the ANZACs and to celebrate the freedoms that we enjoy today, thanks to their sacrifice. The event was attended by IAS school families, Ipswich church members, and people from the wider community.

The program included participation from Federal, State and Local Members and Representatives, RAAF personnel, RSL members, community groups, and Emergency Services representatives, along with IAS school leaders.

Special thanks to the Ipswich City Council for their financial sponsorship and to all the volunteers who contributed in making this event a success.
